This website is a compilation of images and narratives of the Bronx based on my experiences on Vyse Avenue between 172nd and 173rd Streets and beyond to Boston Road, Southern Boulevard, Jennings Street, Tremont Avenue and Simpson Street during the 80s and 90s.
It is my hope that other Bronxites and non-Bronxites will be encouraged to share their own experiences in this very special borough of New York City.

My name is Bill Morse and I grew up in New London, Connecticut, about 120 railroad milestones away from Grand Central on the way to Boston.
My first glimpses of the Bronx were from the train… Baychester Bay, Coop City, the Ace in the Hole trackside bar, P.S. 50 (from behind, though I didn‘t know it, the Oak Point Yard, and Randall‘s Island with its painted sanitmen training footsteps on the tarmac below.
Certain things stay with you… even 60 years ago.
